Breaking The Habit Overcoming Your Shyness

Do you often feel uncomfortable in a social setting?  Does a large gathering of people want you back in the security and privacy of your home?  Do you often get sweated away or nervous at a big event?  If any of these sounds sounds familiar to you, you are probably one of the many people who suffer from social anxiety disorder.  The good news with time, counseling and practice is that you can join the ranks of hundreds of thousands of people who are breaking the habit and easily introducing themselves in social settings.

  Many of us are able to get up in front of a large crowd of people and be in the headlines.  We see others around us who are comfortable with being the center of attention and the respect earned by them for doing so.  Yet when it comes time for us to take the stage or pay attention, we often feel ill or uncomfortable about the whole situation.  While some may think of it purely as a habit that has no consequences other than our embarrassment, the truth of the matter is people who are uncomfortable about themselves or react badly in social gatherings,  Being "part of the group" are passed on to life for promotion, advancement and bus.

  There are many ways and simple home exercises that can help you overcome your anxiety and get involved in the crowds and social activities that you need to leave out of fear.  Many online support groups as well as local support resources provide information and many need help to get control of their fears and bring them down.
